holga

i just stumbled across these images from my 4th year thesis at uva. these photographs were taken in the spring of 2005 in nicaragua. each image was taken with a holga. the holga is a fun camera that kids respond really well to because it looks like a toy. the camera slightly distorts the subject giving the image a dream-like quality.

kirk and sarina

yesterday was a beautiful day for a photo shoot. we spent the afternoon running around the rotunda and enjoying the uva grounds. the leaves are just beginning to turn and i love it. sarina is a burst of energy! her enthusiasm and excitement is contagious. kirk and sarina are an adorable father/daughter team. thank you for asking me to document your family. happy fall!
